Why you need a wedding album Bridgend Wedding Photographer

After the cake has been eaten and the music has stopped photographs of your wedding day are the thing that will keep your memories alive. They capture the moment – the laughter, joy, and tears – and transport you back to that special day. There is no better way to preserve those memories than a beautiful wedding album. A wedding album gives you a real tangible copy of your photographs and tells the story of your day as it happened. Albums stand the test of time – they are future proof, unlike USB’s which will be out of date in 10 years time. There is no risk of technology changing or the drive corrupting. Prints last a lifetime. You can show them to your kids and grandkids in years to come.

I believe so strongly that everyone should have printed copies of thier photos that I include Wedding Albums in all of my packages. They are not an optional extra that will cost you 100’s after your wedding day – they are included in the price. You don’t have to pay hundreds extra after the wedding. You don’t have to spend hours trying to print and stick photos into an album yourself – I will professionally design and print it for you.

After your wedding day all of your photos will be uploaded onto an online gallery. From there you can download all the high resolution photographs and save them to your hard drive. There will also be a favouties list set up for your album – you can click a heart on all the photos you want included, and I do the rest. I will take your selection an design a beautiful album for you. If I think there are any gaps I will let you know. I upload the proof onto your online gallery, then when you are happy, and have chosen the colour and fabric for the exterior, I send it off to print. Once it arrives we can meet up again for a quick coffee so you can see the album for the first time in a relaxed setting.

What sort of album should I get?

It’s your choice, generally smaller wedding, shorter or part days will look great in an 8×8. If you’re having a long day I suggest a 10×10. If you’ve got lots of guests and want lots of photos I highly recommend getting a 12×12 to really show off your photos. You can upgrade the album after your wedding or add additional spreads to allow more photos if you like.

When you book me you’ll get someone who is passionate about capturing the memories of your day as it happens, I’ll often catch the little things that are so easy to miss. I take a real documentary approach through the day, I’m not a show-off who makes a big scene, but I take the time to work with you and pose you in your couple portraits so that you get beautiful and personal images that you’re proud to put on your walls and show off in a range of beautifully presented albums.

I love to see photographs where they should be: printed and on display rather than hidden away. I’m passionate about preserving your memories for years and generations to come, and the best way to ensure this is to professionally print your photographs. I’ve still got an 1880’s albumen print of my great great grandmother who worked as a photographic assistant painting colour onto black and white photographs.
