Bridgend Wedding Photography FAQ

The FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

What is your style?
Documentary, clean and modern, with a mixture of natural light and flash to create classic results.
I don’t do instagram type filters that will look dated in 5 years time but create images that you will be proud to show off to the next generation.

Why choose me as your wedding photographer?
I’m relaxed, I’m fun, I won’t get in your way, but I can lend a helping hand when you need it most!

Do you do mid-week discounts?
Yes, 10% mon-fri during school term time.

What is deposit and when is it due?
Deposit of £250 is due with signed contract at time of booking. This secures the date of your wedding.

What kit do you use?
I currently use professional Canon kit with a variety of lenses and lighting gear. I always work with at least two cameras throughout the day and carry spares of everything as well as hair clips, hair spray, plasters, and all sorts of things that you might find useful on a wedding day. So should there be an issue I can switch very quickly to alternatives.

Is travel extra?
Travel is included within 100 mile radius from Bridgend, South Wales. Outside of this travel and accomodation fees may apply.

Do you have insurance?
Yes, I am fully professionally insured, registered with HMRC, Bridgend County Borough Council, and Business Wales.

Are you a member of any professional bodies?
Yes, I’m a member of the Guild of Photographers and currently working towards accredited status.

Do you have a second photographer?
I have a couple second shooters I work regluarly with – let me know if you’d like me to arrange one for all or part of the day.

How long does it take to get our photos?
I usually aim to get some quick edits/sneak peaks back to you within a couple days of the wedding. Fully edited galleries delivered on USB takes up to 6 weeks depending on season.

How many pictures will we recieve?
For a full day wedding usually minimum 400-600.

What format are files supplied in?
High resoltion jpeg.

How do we order prints?
You and your guests can order prints direct from your online gallery.

How do we select photos for our album?
You will be able to select these from your online gallery. I will design an album for you and send proofs back for you to approve.

I hate having my photos taken!
Don’t panic, I’ll spend most the day in the background quietly documenting you and your guests. If you’re really nervous I highly reccomend a pre-shoot/engagement shoot to help you relax and get to know me.

When you book me you’ll get someone who is passionate about capturing the memories of your day as it happens, I’ll often catch the little things that are so easy to miss. I take a real documentary approach through the day, I’m not a show-off who makes a big scene, but I take the time to work with you and pose you in your couple portraits so that you get beautiful and personal images that you’re proud to put on your walls and show off in a range of beautifully presented albums.

I love to see photographs where they should be: printed and on display rather than hidden away. I’m passionate about preserving your memories for years and generations to come, and the best way to ensure this is to professionally print your photographs. I’ve still got an 1880’s albumen print of my great great grandmother who worked as a photographic assistant painting colour onto black and white photographs.
